Our Verdict
I recently put the SK5 Steel One-Button Folding Saw to the test across a few different tasks, ranging from cleaning up overgrown tree limbs in my backyard to prepping kindling for a weekend campfire. This tool immediately stands out for its straightforward design and the surprisingly aggressive bite of its high-carbon blade.
Performance & Build Quality
The core of this saw is the SK5 high-carbon steel blade, which feels incredibly rigid and holds an edge remarkably well under pressure. The construction is solid, showing no concerning wobble at the hinge, and the one-button release mechanism is both responsive and secure during heavy-duty cutting.
Day-to-Day Experience
Using the saw is intuitive; it snaps open instantly and locks firmly into place, requiring very little effort to start a clean cut. I found the ergonomic handling made long pruning sessions much more comfortable, and its folding nature makes it simple to stow in a backpack or tool bag without worrying about snagging other gear.
This saw is an excellent addition for campers who need a lightweight wood cutter and gardeners looking for a reliable, easy-to-carry tool for branch maintenance.
Final Thoughts
Overall, this tool earns its 4.64 rating by combining high-quality materials with a design that actually solves real-world usability issues. Given the $32.90 price tag, it is a practical investment for anyone needing a dependable, sharp, and portable cutting solution for their 2026 projects.
